Factores socioeconómicos que afectan la enseñanza-aprendizaje de inglés como segunda lengua en estudiantes de una escuela secundaria pública

Popis: | This article presents the results of an investigation carried out in a public secondary school in the state of Tabasco, in order to determine the socioeconomic factors of a personal and institutional nature that affect students' learning of English. To do this, questionnaires were carried out for the students and for the English teacher, in which questions were asked to identify incident factors of a socioeconomic nature and the perception of the participants regarding their impact on their learning of the second language. The results indicated that, in student learning, the socioeconomic factors that most affect are purchasing power, social class and the type of education received, which is summarized in the opportunities they have to access quality education. While teaching within the institution is affected to a greater extent by the low teaching coverage and the lack of resources, materials and tools, which indicates a lack of resources destined to improve the level of English in the country. |
