A funny thing happened to me on the way to the Littauer Economies Library at Harvard as I prepared to re-read articles by Leonard Weiss that I had not perused for years. As I entered the hall, two young men, probably assistant professors (although it is difficult at my age to tell the difference from graduate students) were discussing their teaching. One remarked, “You know, I find it much easier to organize the materials by mathematical topics. Then you can hang on economics application A, B, C, or as many as you can think of.” |
