Popis: | Summary Severe paraquat poisoning is characterized by multiple-organ involvement, mainly the lungs, kidneys, liver, myocardium, and adrenal cortex. The case of a patient who survived severe paraquat intoxication is presented. Kidneys and lungs were involved and hemodialysis, prednisolone administration and supportive measures were followed. The patient survived and the sequential changes are presented. Fibrotic lesions are seen on follow-up high-resolution computed tomography scans and mild restricted pattern also exists at pulmonary function testing. |
