Popis: | We demonstrate the simultaneous existence of slow photonic and phononic modes in a fishbone-like one-dimensional phoxonic crystal nanobeam. The phoxonic crystal nanobeam, which is formed by a suspended fishbone-like silicon waveguide, is not only an optical one-dimensional grating waveguide but also a waveguide with acoustic local resonance. Because of the slow group velocities, the acousto–optical interactions are significantly enhanced. The operating optical wavelength and acoustic frequency can be manipulated individually by varying certain geometric parameters of the nanobeam. |
