Popis:	The influence of the operating conditions on the frictional-stress distribution in the deformation zone on cold rolling is studied numerically on the basis of DEFORM-2D software. By adjusting the rolling conditions so as to regulate the tangential stress, the surface contamination of the strip may be decreased.
