In the structure of the incidence of malignant neoplasms, on the territory of the Samara region, oncopathology of the maxillofacial region is in 15th place and is about 2.4%. In the period from 2013 to 2018, among the cancer of the oral cavity, the first place is occupied by cancer of the tongue, then the lips and salivary glands, but at the same time there is a tendency towards an increase in the cancer of the tongue. The main reasons for the growth of oncological diseases of the maxillofacial region are the latent course of the initial stages of the disease, an insufficient level of early diagnosis, untimely treatment of patients to doctors. |
