Popis: | Hypocotyls of Phaseolus vulgaris L. infected with Rhizoctonia solani Kuhn yield the antifungal isoflavanone, kievitone (C 20 H 20 O 6 ). On the basis of high and low resolution mass spectrometry, nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometry, infrared and ultraviolet spectroscopy and chemical transformation kievitone was identified as 5,7,2′,4′-tetrahydroxy-8-isopentenylisoflavanone. |
