Microwave Promoted Synthesis of 2-(1H-Benzoimidazol-2-Yl-4-Phenol)-5-Aryl-1,3,4-Oxadiazoles

Popis: A series of 2-(1H-benzoimidazol-2-yl-4-phenol)-5-aryl-1,3,4-oxadiazoles by the reaction of 3-(1H-benzoimidazol-2-yl)-4-hydroxy-benzoic acid, prepared from 3-formyl-4-hydroxy-benzoic acid and o-phenylendiamine in the presence of sodium bisulfite, with (un) substituted benzoic acid hydrazides using PEG supported dichlorophosphate as dehydration reagent under microwave-accelerated solvent-free condition has been developed. Structures of the corresponding products were elucidated by IR and 1HNMR spectra and elemental analysis.
