Radiation monitoring in neutron-gamma fields with TLD

Popis: A new method for the determination of neutron fluences and gamma dose distributions around reactor facilities is introduced. This method is based on using 7 LiF-Teflon discs in combination with different absorber foils. A Teflon holder is employed containing three 7 LiF-TLD Teflon discs sandwiched between 1 mm Sn, 1 mm Cd, and 0.25 mm Rh covered by 1 mm Cd. Subsequent measurements of the TL in 7 LiF expressed as equivalent gamma-radiation doses gives an estimate of the photon and neutron dose components in the neutron energy range from thermal to about 0.5 MeV.
