This analysis will utilize data collected from 19 male psychiatric patients in a low-security psychiatric hospital in South Wales, UK, and 68 participants from a category-C prison HMP Channings Wood in South West England. Participant scores on measures of the UPPS-P impulsive behavior scale and measures of the Psychopathy Checklist (PCL) / Psychopathy Checklist - Revisited (PCL-R). This analysis will investigate relationships between sensation seeking measures on the UPPS-P impulsive behavior scale and Factor I (interpersonal and affective traits) on the PCL, lack of premeditation measures on the UPPS-P and Factor II (lifestyle and antisocial traits) on the PCL, and positive urgency measures on the UPPS-P and total score on the PCL. |
