Popis:	Mouse liver mitochondria from animals of various ages incorporated amino acids into their protein at approximately the same rate. Treating mice with growth hormone produced an increase in the rate of in vitro protein synthesis by mitochondria from all animals. Our studies indicated that isolated mouse liver mitochondria have the ability to incorporate amino acids into their contractile protein. This capability was enhanced by growth hormone treatment.
