Optimized indoor lighting system to save energy through window blinds management

Popis: A significant portion of energy is used in a building for the indoor lighting system. Energy consumption issue of the indoor lighting system is increasing day by day which is analyzed through the systematic point of view as well as optimization scheme. Most of the building energy consumption is due to lighting system consumption, which consumes almost 30 to 40% of whole building energy consumption. The existing lighting system is typically operated independently, which performance is not optimized. To maximize the energy efficiency, an optimized control system has been proposed. In this paper, blinds are controlled automatically for full utilization of daylight to reduce the building lighting energy consumption and more comfortable. A proposed system can reduce the running system energy cost by optimizing the window blind management system by linking with daylight. The improved genetic scheme is used to reduce the building light energy consumption and the result shows that the building lighting energy cost can be reduced 25 to 32% depending on the environmental effect.
