Popis: | Water drops bearing different electric charges and colliding in air may emit electromagnetic energy on collision. Laboratory investigation of the microwave emission in the range of 7200 to 10,400 MHz from drops 1.05±0.02 mm in diameter that have equal and opposite charges indicates a spectral maximum in the neighborhood of 10,000 MHz (λ = 3 cm). At frequencies near 10,000 MHz the emission intensity increases approximately as the fifteenth power of the charge. |
