Interline Power Flow Controller (IPFC) is T-FACTS device which protects the transmission level of power systems in many aspects. The major contribution of IPFC for the transmission system is the improvement of power flow and voltage profile on the receiving end of transmission system without burdening the generation scheme. The significant component of IPFC is its building block consisting of inverter and control technique. The control technique is the key aspect of IPFC. It regulates the pulses to the inverter of IPFC according to conditions prevailing in the IPFC system. In this paper a 12 pulse voltage source inverter is used as an inverter of IPFC. A comparative analysis is performed between the two proposed control techniques SVM and SPWM. The IPFC-SVM and IPFC-SPWM are tested using different case studies and performance analysis between two IPFC configurations is analyzed. |
