Popis: In order to solve the pseudo stereoscopic problem in the auto-stereoscopic display, a program is proposed to automatically determine the mapping relationship between the human eyes position and the exit pupil modes. This scheme enables the best viewing position to move accurately with the human eyes, and the stereoscopic viewing range can be continuously extended to the entire viewable range of the display. In this paper, a monocular camera and a black-and-white exit pupil fringe are used to detect the above mapping relationship. Innovatively, an automatic calibration method based on horizontal and vertical gray histograms is proposed, and a method based on straight line detection of image edges is proposed for mutual verification. The experimental results show that the proposed method can accurately calculate the slope and the period of the exit pupil and derive the complete mapping relationship. It is more accurate and automated than the traditional way. When the exit pupil mode is adjusted, the image brightness change rate is less than 3.3%, which can basically realize seamless switching.
