| Popis: | Bamako, the capital city of the Republic of Mali, was designated as a Millennium City by the Earth Institute at Columbia University in 2006. The city faces numerous health challenges, but it is well-positioned to meet health-related Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by 2015. Priority health needs include: reducing maternal mortality and increasing contraceptive usage rates; reducing child malnutrition and infant morbidity; and scaling-up access to health services. |
