Popis: | Films of poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC)-sodium iodide (NaI) polymer electrolyte were prepared by solution casting technique. FTIR results suggested that NaI interacted with PVC. Conductivities of PVC-NaI electrolytes were investigated as a function of NaI concentration as well as temperature. The highest room temperature conductivity of about 2.9 x 10 -8 S cm -1 was achieved at 40 wt.% NaI. The variation of conductivity as a function of temperature was discussed based on the basis of number density and mobility of charge carries, calculated using impedance spectroscopy. Linear sweep voltammetry result revealed that the electrochemical stability window for PVC-NaI system was up to 1.4 V. |
