Popis: An infinite set of partial differential equations which are to be satisfied by the coefficients in a Bruns' series expansion of the distribution function, as a consequence of the principle of ``conservation of density‐in‐phase,'' are obtained. By means of these equations there are derived meteorologically useful expressions for the density and temperature gradients in an ideal gas.
