Popis: | This paper presents a complete design of a Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) system for battery rooms using modern components and techniques to achieve a cost effective design that will perform the required function without compromising the quality of the system. The HVAC installation for battery rooms is designed differently from a normal room since there will be gases inside, therefore all electrical devices are required to meet the requirements of the area classifications in which they are installed. There are four main factors affecting battery performance and life which are; cycling life, depth of discharge, temperature and recharge rate. This paper focuses on all the active systems which involve electrical design approach, installation and layout. It presents all the technical information related to an efficient design proving the benefits and necessity of the design. |
