Res_eng:The diffussion of the privileges of Latin Right from Augustus to the Flavian era in Roman Hispania made easier the transformation of the ancient stipendiarian communities into municipalities leaded by the Latin Right and based upon the validation of indigenous institutions into different institutions of clear Roman type. The epigraphic sources and, of course, even the archaeological evidence, suggest, although, that many of those new promoted cities suffered very remarkable difficulties concerning their economic viability and their financial support. In this paper some causes and evidences of this problem are presented with especial focus on the Flavian municipalities. |
