Popis: | A detailed 57 Fe Mossbauer study of YBaCuFeO5+δ has been performed between 4.2 and 500 K. Below the antiferromagnetic ordering temperature TN = 446 K, the magnetic Mossbauer spectrum is unique, which suggests the existence of a single iron site; above TN there is only a very small quadrupolar splitting. Both facts can be explained by assuming that in the crystalline structure determined by Er-Rakho et al. [1], the 1b(1) site is occupied by iron and the 1b(2) site by copper. |
