Corrosion resistance of steels of petroleum-wellhead fittings

Popis: To ascertain the possibility of using serially produced gusher and pressure fittings to pump the mentioned reagents into the stratum, the corrosion resistance of steels of these fittings was investigated at the Azerbaidzhan Institute of Petroleum-Machinery Construction. On the basis of the results of the tests it was established that casing parts of gusher fittings for temperature and cold climatic conditions made of steel 20KhGSL are resistant only to the effect of stratal water and that steel Kh8ML, used for gusher fittings for media containing 6% CO/sub 2/ and resistant in inhibitors of paraffin and salt deposition, is unresistant in an oxidate stream.
