Popis: | Asbestos structure and composition contribute to the lung injury and to the inflammation induced by this natural fiber. The result of this study is that neutrophile to lymphocyte ratio correlates significantly to timing of progress of the radiological lesions in the evolution of patients with asbestosis, followed for 5 years. If confirmed in larger studies, this could become a cost-effective biomarker for the asbestosis evolution. |
