The purpose of this study is to clarify the morphological form of the Greek preposition εἰς and its connection with the Greek preposition ἐν, as well as its function to refer to the purpose, cause, and result on the one hand, and the Dative, and Ablative cases on the other. Using the preposition εἰς with the Genitive case, the researcher examined the implicit omissions of the location. He also demonstrated a partial synonymy with the Greek preposition ἐν. Finally, the study demonstrates the link between the Greek preposition εἰς and some Greek verbs, such as preaching, faith, baptism, oath, and other verbs. The study concerns itself, with the occurrence of these verbs in the Book of Genesis.   |
