Popis: | The results of investigation of the effect of the air-thermal oxidation regimes on the element and phase composition, morphology, and microhardness of the modified surface of E-110 zirconium alloy are presented. It is established that the element and phase composition of the coatings formed on the surface of specimens subjected to such a treatment depend mainly on the temperature regimes of oxidation. A significant effect on the morphology and thickness of the coatings was caused by the temperature of the reaction medium and the duration of treatment. It is established that at oxidation temperatures of 400 and 500°C and at a duration of 1, 2, and 3 h, the most appropriate regimes for formation of mechanically heavy-duty coatings were realized. |
