Popis: In the beginning of our century intelligence as it is measured with standardized batteries could capitalize on thousands of evidences being the most important factor affecting human performance. And it still is one of the main factors. However intelligence got a competitive brother. That is competence and on an aggregated level perceived competence . The final scientific proof of the effectiveness of competence and perceived competence is given by hundreds of empirical studies synthesized in Self-efficacy by Albert Bandura in 1997. The influence of competence and perceived competence seems to be of the same effectiveness magnitude as intelligence. It has a broader range for human development and performance than intelligence and it is easier to improve. Thus we got at the end of the century a new scientific platform which is opening a broad field of research opportunities and scientificaly based measures to enhance human development and performance.
