In order to determine the specific activity of [11C]CO2 and examine the distribution of cold carbon in target and delivery lines, we attempted to make an easily accessible, one-step reaction, allowing detection using HPLC equipped with UV detector. Unfortunately this proved a more difficult task than we imagined. The organolithium compounds synthesised in this work, were much too reactive to yield reproducible results, and thus no target volume fractionation data are available at this point. |
