Popis: Nondietary exposure risk assessment to plant protection products (PPP) is a regulatory requirement for approval and commercialization. The exposure assessment should be carried out for professional users (operators and workers) and for persons who are incidentally exposed during PPP application or soon after treatment (bystanders and residents). The exposure assessment should cover proposed uses of the plant protection product (PPP), each type of application and equipment used, and should be accomplished by using suitable exposure mathematical models, where available. In this chapter an overview of the available exposure assessment models accepted by competent authorities is given. For each model a description of the input and biometric parameters together with data on which they rely on are presented. Several agriculture scenarios are covered, from the most common to the least common. Finally the strengths and weaknesses of each model are highlighted.
