Popis: | The separation of calcium and magnesium from lithium chloride solution by liquid-liquid extraction with di (2-ehtylhexyl) phosphoric acid was studied and the influence of time, concentration, pH and temperature on the extraction was investigated. Using the extraction isotherms, the number of theoretical stages and the dependence on the phase flow ratio of organic to aqueous phase were determined. A total of 99% of the calcium and magnesium are separated from lithium using 0.5 M solution of the extractant dissolved in paraffin oil in two extraction stages with a phase ratio of Vorg/Vw 1:3 at room temperature. The losses of the extractant during the extraction process were determined. |
