Popis: | 32nd European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition; 2411-2414 A photovoltaic and grid connected, electric energy driven cooling system is set up and measurements are performed. The system with a maximum cooling power of Pcool = 8kW can be operated in several cooling modes (predominantly) regarding comfort and energy efficiency but also can be run in a heating mode. Therefore it contains PV modules, a compression cooling machine i.e. heat pump (HP), a cold storage (cold side of the HP), an outdoor unit and cold ceilings for the cold distribution. To increase the system efficiency, while cooling is needed, the energy on the hot side of the HP is used for domestic hot water preparation. In case of favourable weather conditions the cold storage can be cooled down in the free cooling mode, the most energy efficient cooling operation mode. The outdoor unit for heat rejection is therefore positioned on a shadowy place. A water based ethanol brine (20 vol.% ethanol) is used as the heat transfer fluid because of better thermo-physical properties than water at low temperature i.e. below 20°C?. To perform measurements a number of sensors are installed and for system operation control and data acquisition the NI LabVIEW® software is used. The data analysis is further done with MATLAB scripts. First operation and data analysis results show a good performance of the system. |
