Popis: | The widespread accessibility of the Internet offers a convenient way to deliver the learning content. This research study aims to improve the interactivity and stimulation for an on-line learning community. The main objective of this paper is to propose, build, and evaluate a framework for collaborative human–computer interaction in e-learning. The proposed framework utilizes the social cognitive development theories for building five levels, which represent the analysis, requirements and characteristics for enhancing the collaborative e-learning (CEL) process. Based on these levels, the CEL model is divided into six tasks which serve as technical visibility to build a solid social learning platform. According to these tasks, the proposed framework is implemented and equipped with five major collaborative modules that represent a web-based student-centred CEL environment. The proposed CEL model has been evaluated in terms of computer supported collaborative learning and on an adaptable usability of heuristic checklist for on-line courses by using student activity data and questionnaire analysis. Results have shown that the CEL can be adopted to support student education, promote teamwork and increasing student motivation within e-learning environments. |
