The technology is considered electrochemical machining (ECM) of metals. The problem lies in the comparative complexity of manufacturing an electrode-tool (ET), which limits the scope of application of electrochemical machining (ECM). This is largely due to the fact that the design of the electrode-tool (ET) should provide for the electrochemical machining of metals a constant equilibrium supply of the working conductive liquid in the area of the object being processed. The solution lies in using the capabilities of computer-aided design (CAD) and additive technologies. It allows you to implement fundamentally new elements of the design of tools. It eliminates the need for a number of resource-intensive operations and the use of expensive equipment. The place has a solution, where the body of the electrode-tool is made of plastic with dielectric properties, inside which and on separate sections of its surface are placed current-conducting channels and layers of current-conducting plastic. Electroplated copper layers are applied to their outer surface. A special design was developed by the 3D printer for the manufacture of this electrode-tool with an additional rotary horizontal axis and three positions for installing two extruders (the first extruder is designed for ABS plastic, the second extruder is designed for conductive plastic) and a special nozzle designed for copper electroplating. The 3D printer and the software developed for it made it possible to carry out the additive shaping of the combined electrode-tool. The authors propose their own approach to the design of combined ET, including a complex shape. |
