Popis: The theoretical treatment of the steady-state photocarrier grating method is extended to include the frequency dependence of the chopping frequency, ω. It is shown that measurements of the characteristic parameter, β, as a function of ω yield both the ambipolar diffusion length, L, as well as the carrier lifetime, τ, for a fixed angular setting. An alternative experimental setup using a Pockel cell and polarizing cube as beam splitter is suggested to facilitate measurements at higher frequencies.
