Popis: Automated Valet Parking (AVP) is foreseen as a highly automated function to be implemented on large scale in mass production in the near future. AVL developed its own AVP solution on a real demonstrator vehicle. While several norms are describing specific criteria for this function, AVL developed an approach to assess AVP function’s performances based on objective criteria. This paper provides a mathematical description of key parameters as well as specific sensor set to measure and analyze them. The scale for rating these criteria is based on extensive human driver testing campaign. Human tests results are statistically analyzed to confirm the relevancy of such approach. AVL AVP functions results are evaluated with so called HBR scale (“Human Based objective Rating”) and positioned in comparison to the ISO and i-VISTA related norms.
