Popis: | In this review article, neuroimaging features of common bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infections of the pediatric central nervous system (CNS) are discussed. Imaging modalities used by pediatric neuroradiologists include cranial ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). After a brief discussion of the clinical presentation of each disease entity, imaging strategies and findings are reviewed. The role of advanced neuroimaging techniques is discussed wherever appropriate. |
