Experiences and Perceptions of K-12 Teaching Online During COVID-19

Popis: COVID-19 caused a significant shift in learning and teaching that impacted nearly every aspect of life. With the physical closure of classrooms, many school systems and teachers found themselves suddenly developing curriculum and instructional plans that could be delivered remotely, and most of these curriculum plans were administered online while students attended remotely from home. Technology is key and central to a distance learning environment. For this reason, it is vital to understand the teachers' perceptions about using technology. His/her attitude then influences the intention to use and this leads to the actual use of LMS and tools. The current study was a portion of a larger study investigating K-12 teachers' perceptions and attitudes during the pandemic of COVID-19. The authors explored responses that were gathered from open-ended questions. Examining teacher perceptions of advantages and disadvantages of online learning settings that emerged as a result in the shift to online instruction.
