Popis: | 28th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition; 4225-4230 The constantly increasing penetration of distribution networks with local renewable resources makes it essential that such resources participate in the provision of grid management services. Reactive power control for static voltage support can effectively increase the grid's hosting capacity and the availability of power generation plants. As studies carried out by Avacon AG show, Q(V) control represents a particularly effective measure for such grid requirements in medium-voltage grids. In this paper, two different approaches for implementing Q(V) control with PV plants are introduced. A joint field test by Avacon AG and SMA Solar Technology AG shows very good results for both implementation concepts with respect to the static and dynamic plant behaviour and highlights the particular suitability of PV plants for flexible and responsive provision of grid management services. |
