Popis:	SummaryTriazolam 0·25 mg and nitrazepam 5 mg were compared in a double-blind randomized crossover study in 100 postpartum subjects unaccustomed to taking hypnotics. The proportion of patients experiencing difficulty in getting to sleep, the incidence of dreaming and the frequency of ‘hangover' effects did not differ between the two drugs, but there was an overall patient preference for triazolam. The presence of perineal sutures did not cause greater difficulty in getting to sleep, with either drug
