Popis:	A 71 year old male presented with the symptoms, physical findings, radiographic, and bronchoscopic picture of a bronchogenic neoplasm with obstructive pneumonia. The initial biopsy with corresponding immunohistochemistry revealed a poorly differentiated neoplasm with an antigenic profile of sarcoma. The subsequent partial pneumonectomy revealed a polypoid squamous cell carcinoma with immunohistochemical, histological, and electron microscopic confirmation. The discrepancy between the initial biopsy interpretation and final results was addressed. (The JHistotechnol 10:273, 1987.)
