Popis: | The presence of former president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva in imprisonment challenged contemporary political communication: the maintenance of a public figure, with the aim of avoiding the weakening of his characteristics, at that moment private of actuation in the political field. That's what happened to Lula, from April 2018 to November 2019, when he was arrested by the Federal Police in Curitiba. Over 580 days, his advisory kept his Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts active, which allowed Lula to be present in the country's political discussions. Here we study the use of Lula's populist discourse in these accounts to analyze the strategies of communication and discourse, from the point of view of possible discursive changes due to the position he occupied in the past and during his imprisonment. Lulism also appears in this analysis, as a populist force associated with the figure of Lula, who sometimes serves as an instrument for maintaining characteristic features of the phenomenon investigated. |
