The paper describes an approach to constructing image models using discrete wavelet transforms. The models under consideration reflect the importance of pixels in terms of their contribution to the total energy. In this case, each pixel is associated with a certain numeric value – weight. To obtain the weights, the detailed coefficients of the wavelet transform are analyzed, which reflect the magnitude of the brightness change in the corresponding pixels at different scale levels. It is assumed that the more the brightness changes in a pixel, the more this pixel differs from other pixels and the more important it is for image analysis. The values of the weights depend on the type of the wavelet transform. In this paper, we consider orthogonal Daubechi 2, 4, 6, 8 wavelet transforms and biorthogonal Villasenor-Belzer-Liao 6/10, 5/3, 2/6, 9/3 wavelet transforms. The application of weight models based on the specified wavelet transformations for the selection of texture features of images is described. |
