Popis: | A multiband internal multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna for USB dongle applications is proposed. Two types of antenna element are used to construct a MIMO antenna system. The resonance frequencies of the MIMO antenna are controlled by the lengths of the two asymmetric arms or by the number of turns in a helix. The designed antenna provides wide bandwidth to cover LTE, DCN, and PCS-1900 services, simultaneously. Although the MIMO antenna is installed within an electrically small USB dongle device, the isolation characteristic and antenna performance can be improved by using a two-stage ground structure. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
