Popis: | Safety is always an important issue in the construction industry. An increasing number of construction projects are carried out in the recent decades to meet the ever increasing demand from population increase. To grasp the growth rate of construction accidents, safety measures and planning are necessary. Indeed, it is essential to forecast the accident rates based on relative factors to support an efficient planning and propose suitable safety measures for lowering the accident numbers. This paper aims to examine the potential accident-related factors and investigate their relationship with accident rates by developing a forecasting model. Three types of accident-related factors including working conditions, environmental factors and management actions are selected for investigating their relationship with the construction accident rates. The result indicates the forecasting model with efficiency up to 56.7%. It is also showed the accident rate highly depends on the number of vacancies, the numbe... |
