| Popis: | Acute necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis-periodontitis (ANUG/ NUP) is a relatively uncommon periodontal disease characterized by gingival necrosis and ulceration, pain, and bleeding. The purpose of this paper is to provide a review of current knowledge on ANUG/NUP. Current literature on the epidemiology, pathogenesis, immunology, predisposing factors, and treatment of ANUG/NUP is reviewed. |
