Popis:	The purpose of this paper is to explore fundamental considerations surrounding an ATR's algorithm design process. Emphasis is placed on a breakdown of the problem into the constituent elements that are deemed most important in affecting ultimate operational success. They involve both data base concerns and key algorithmic subset interactions.
