Popis:	Strong fluorescent deoxyadenosine derivatives are of considerable research importance in cell biology. We prepared the deoxyriboside of methyl 3,7-dihydro-7-oxo-[2,1-i]pyrimidopurine-9-carboxylate (compound 1b, deoxyribofuranosyl A*)1 which was subsequently used in the synthesis of the dimer d(A*T).
