Popis:	An improved method for the preparation of (R4N)2MS4 (R = Me, Bu and M = Mo, W) is reported. The rapid substitution of the (NH4)+ salts to [(Me)4N]+ and [(Bu)4N]+ salts, via reaction with aqueous (Me)4NCl and (Bu)4NBr is described. Thiometallates characterization by Fourier transform IR, UV and NMR spectroscopies is reported.
