Popis: 1. Existing methods of estimating the effectiveness of blending units give good agreement with the experimental data on condition that the quality fluctuations at the output form a stationary process; in practice this condition is strictly satisfied only for comparatively short realizations. In calculations of the effectiveness of the subsequent stages in a blending system the use of this expression [1, 2] leads to mathematical difficulties. 2. The recommended method, which is based on spectral analysis of the random process and forms the basis of a numerical-analytical method of analysis of the process of blending, gives blending effectiveness values close to the practical ones for any realization length, and also enables us to estimate the variability at the output of the unit in a convenient form for further use in the same scheme.
