Turner’s syndrome (TS) is a sex chromosome disorder associated with a female phenotype. The loss of all or part of X chromosome that is affected the shape and the size of craniofacial structures in TS. Several studies have revealed concerning oral status in patients with TS that orthodontic anomalies such as deep-bite, open-bite, crowding, diastema, Class-II malocclusion and dental anomalies such as congenitally missing and supplementary teeth, decreased dental crown width, anomalous teeth were more frequent. The values for decayed, missing, filled teeth were lower although periodontal problem was higher for the patients with TS. Dentofacial findings in TS patients is important because of the dentists may contribute to early diagnosis. |
