Part of a cropmark site was examined in advance of gravel-working. Pits and ditches attested occupation throughout 3rd and at least early 4th century AD. An adjoining cemetery, containing one cremation and at least 50 inhumations, presumably served the farmstead; wooden coffins and stone cists were used, and some grave-plots were re-used repeatedly. Grave goods were rare. Pottery (treated quantitatively), animal bones and human bones are reported.
